My first butterfly of the year in the village .
This wheatear was found the day after the one below luckily the sun was out but still far away this one was in the company of two females
Male wheatear my first this one was quite far away and the light was fading. A good tick for the village.

A brief spell in St. Albans on a lovely day bought some lovely birds out the best being the Ruddy duck, unfortunetly for those who dont know this bird is to be culled, not to mention at a cost of 2.2 million to the tax payer!!!!!!!!!! This bird like so many that have been introduced is now doomed but i managed some great shots .......
